Abstract
Fair copy. Unsigned ms. copy, dated July 6, 1754, of a deed signed at Albany, N.Y. between Thomas and Richard Penn, and the chiefs and sachems of the Mohawk, Onondaga, Cayuga, Seneca and Tuscarora nations in which the Iroquois sold lands in the Blue Hills of Pennsylvania, on the west side of the Susquehanna River, for 400 pounds. These Pennsylvania lands were also claimed by the Shawnee and Delaware Indians, but their protests were ignored.
