Correspondence, newspapers, and ephemera of Samuel Darwin Wilcox, class of 1866, faculty member (1870-71 and 1871-72), the Kingsley Professor of Logic, Rhetoric, and Elocution, and Librarian, died 1874. Much correspondence among members of the Wilcox family, including Frances M. Wilcox (65 letters), Samuel S. Wilcox, Mary J. Wilcox, S. Darwin Wilcox, R. Dewees Wilcox. Samuel S. Wilcox (1817-1879) was the father of S. Darwin Wilcox and Frances M. Wilcox, who married B.F. Congdon; their children were D.W. Congdon, class of 1897, and C.E. Congdon, class of 1899. The latter's son was R.B. Congdon, class of 1936.
