Large format newspaper, The News: Hudson, Putnam and Harlem Valley, January 1, 1933, with inscription to Frederick Carlos Ferry, President of Hamilton College from George William Seymour. Articles include The New Year's Litany of a Country Printer, by Seymour, dedicated to outgoing US president Herbert Hoover. Inscription reads, "To Frederick Carlos Ferry, President of Hamilton College -- a sane, honest-to-goodness College--with the sincere regards of George William Seymour (the only human extant who taught himself the alphabet and one who never went to school!!!) P.S. And dear F.C.F.: you won't be quite as good a college president after you read this--if you dare to!!".
