Kirkland College Memorabilia for KC exhibit, reunions 2007: needlepoint of Kirkland seal
Content Description
Needlepoint of Kirkland College seal by Isabel Weinger Nielsen: "When I accepted my diploma at my 1976 graduation, I presented Sam Babbitt with a needlepoint of the Kirkland seal which I created. (I had been ill the previous year, so it was a great way to pass the time.) It is 16 x 20 " and framed behind glass. Sam hung it in the President's Office until 1978, then returned it to me because he was afraid that it would get "lost" at Hamilton." The idea for the Kirkland College seal came from Samuel and Natalie Babbitt, put together by a Hamilton alumnus at Young and Rubicam, and approved by the Board of Trustees in October, 1966.
