photocopies of a letter to "Cousin Harriet" on letterhead of Col. A.S. Marvin, 23 Washington Place, N.Y. City, signed "your aff. cousin Smith" (possibly dated Ap. 19 / 91) and two sheets labelled "Conversation between Harriet and Uncle Austin Smith in 1898," in which "Uncle" tells of his interview with Lafayette when Lafayette was visiting the area in 1826 or so while Smith was a student at Hamilton College.
