letter from M.B. Loughlen, class of 1889, Oct. 19, 1887
Letter from a junior at Hamilton, M.B. Loughlen, home to his father, describing the furniture in his room at college (with the prices of the various pieces, e.g. $15 stove, $2 bureau, 45 ct. slop pail); Loughlen apparently ran a store at college, as the letter is written on letterhead proclaiming him the "Proprietor of Hamilton College Book Store, dealer in Books, Stationery and Base Ball Goods"; also, he mentions "a large book-cas [sic] for my store books.".
