scrapbook: 11 pages of signatures of friends, including date, name, hometown, fraternity, and "Happy Thoughts"; Junior Prom signatures; handwritten information: team rosters, YMCA reception, Theta Delta Chi, Freshman Banquet, Thanksgiving 1916, TDX initiation banquet 1917; ticket stubs for Birth of a Nation, burlesque shows, Intolerance; Poughkeepsie HS diploma; for each year of college: leaflets, clippings, schedules, photographs, letters, receipts, invitations, handbooks, athletics schedules and clippings, military brochures, programs, political buttons, military items, postcards. (also donated: Hamiltonian for 1921) Daniel LeRoy Shirley (1898-1984), as a senior at the end of WWI, served with the campus-based Students Army Training Corps. He received the Fayerweather Prize and the Underwood Prize in Chemistry, and served as a graduate assistant in chemistry at Hamilton College for a year after he graduated, before beginning his career as an industrial chemist with Miner Edgar Co. He married Susan Ann Rowe in 1921, and retired as chief chemist at General Tire & Rubber Co., Toledo, OH, in 1963.
