Content Description

Hamilton College memorabilia: Hamilton sweater, black, with blue H knitted into it; Wedgwood plate depicting Hamilton College Chapel; 1941 green Freshman beanie or "Frog cap" and black beret with "45" sewn on, from 25th reunion in 1970, both owned by Clarence Aldridge '45. "The chapel plates were given as gifts to special friends and donors of the College. I don't know when this was first done, but I do have a supply and continue to give them out on special occasions. The sweater came from the Athletic Department. I most recently gave them as a gift to all attendees at the Athletic Reunion during Fallcoming 2004." Laurie Russell, Alumni Programs. " We used to give these sweaters as awards for participation on athletic teams. That practice ended about a dozen years ago. We still have a few around." Dave Thompson, Athletics. The Wedgwood plates are advertised in the Alumni Review in 1953 and 1955-57. Tie with figures from Hamilton seal added 8/13.
