Diary or album of letters written by Morris Brown during the Civil War. Approximately 100 Civil War letters and documents from the period 1862-1864, contained in a scrapbook or album. The album, of marbled boards, with the front cover detached, has embossed on the front the name Jennie M. Browne. The documents include Morris Brown's enlistment papers, dated 11 August, 1862.
