Scrapbook or album: One volume containing photographs; newspaper articles; Hamilton mailings and posters, including a trustee resolution; programs; various religious organization pamphlets and other memorabilia from George E. Norton's years at Hamilton, 1913-1917. George E. Norton was born in 1895, and graduated from Hamilton College in 1917. In 1926, he received his master's degree form Columbia University. During his life, Mr. Norton taught high school, was principal of old Sauquoit Union Free School, and, after helping form the Sauquoit Valley Central School District, was, for 14 years, supervising principal and clerk of the Board of Education. He was also sub-chairman of the Oneida County Heart Fund, a member of the Union Presbyterian Church, and in the State Department of Audit and Control. He died December 5, 1975, in Faxton Hospital, Utica.
