Class Scrapbook Collection: Scrapbooks or albums of Paul T. Harper, 1903
Content Description
Scrapbooks or albums: Two volumes of photographs, signatures, tickets, programs, dance cards, invitations, Commencement material, notices, notes, menus, newspaper clippings, and assorted other memorabilia, from Paul T. Harper's years at Hamilton, 1899-1903. Volume one contains his freshman through junior year and has great photographs, including many cyanotypes (blue) pasted in. Volume 2 also has many interesting photographs. Harper seems to have been something of a kleptomaniac, as the album not only contains the regular scrapbook fare of brochures, flyers, and clippings, but also bits of clothing ripped off during rows, taken from dates at the Houghton Seminary and even a small piece off of a desk.
