Frederick W. Putnam (Hamilton College Hon. 1908): personal correspondence (mostly to universities, libraries, historical societies, and other institutions): 1890s-1910s; some personal letters from the 1860s; assorted pamphlets. Added 1/29/2008: The Putnam Collection of Miscellaneous Manuscripts (0000.46.2), including an assortment of letters, legal documents, and engravings dated between 1760 and 1913. Highlights include an indenture document from 1838, Colby College newspaper clippings and correspondence, and a letter marked "private" from Jackson to Martin Van Buren. Lincolniana book plates and collections scrapbook added in 2022 (previously catalogued in the library as Spec Coll ; E457.6 .F79 1913)
